Lake Lawn Resort is such a a place for me. I went to it growing up, then returned during the pandemic as a place of respite, and now to photograph a wedding at Lake Lawn Resort is pure nostalgia. I don't think there's the association of nostalgia and weddings but to me, a wedding isn't just a day, it's a lifetime. It's a mixture of the mundane daily little things, the big milestones, and memory after memory created together. It may not feel like it in the moment, but I hope that when Max & Ashley reminisce years from now about this day, that it will a nostalgic reminder of the life they're creating together as a family. May they be reminded of it anytime they see a crisp white pier upon a bright blue lake or see the wake of waves from a passing boat. May the build upon it at future family vacations and milestones of sweet sweet summertime.
