Growing up, I was always (and still am) very close to my sister. Not so much in age, we're actually 10 years apart calendar wise, but while most teenagers were out hitting the mall, she most often was at home baking cookies, doing art projects, and teaching me Spanish. I didn't realize how rare it was to have a non-fighting relationship with a sibling until I was older, and really, not until I heard 100 maid of honor speeches at weddings start with how they used to fight when they were little. I knew sweet Maddie was going to be a rare big sister. She's just the sweetest, most gentle, and inclusive little girl. I mean, she let her little sister have an entire 1 year birthday cake without asking for it until it was offered. I'm not even that patient. (: So it was no surprise to see Maddie love on, share with, and care for her little sister during Ellie's 1 year photos. Sweet sweet sisters.
