RYAN + KRISTINE

You never know what weather someone is secretly (or perhaps obsessively searching weather.com) hoping for on their wedding day. Some want the not a cloud in the sky, some want all the clouds so they don't sweat, others hope there's rain comin' out of those clouds so they have "good luck," my NYE bride wanted anything but snow so people could travel, and today's bride dreamt of a snowy winter wedding since grade school. Which not too long ago we woulda placed bets that Chicago would have plenty snow in January. But what happens if the weather isn't what you've always dreamed of? Well, for one, if you've got vendors around you that not only can pivot, but thrive in doing so, you can sit back and enjoy your cake. They'll be the one's handling if transportation will remain on time, can your flowers withstand the change of plan? Will your hair last? We ought to be the ones swirling around so you can remain still, present, and in the moments you've actually wished for the entire time. (Though it may surrounding wise look a little different than planned. Your photos are little teleporting memory magic. I want each and every photo to take you back to the magic that is your wedding day. (Not to the panic that initially can hit if the weather totally is throwing you for a loop. You don't want to remember that.)

Typically, I love working with whatever curveball the weather has brought. However, knowing Kristine has seriously dreamt of freshly fallen snow for as long as she could remember, and there was grass for as far as the eye could see on the Eaglewood Resort golf course, I had to sprinkle some flurry magic over some of her photos! Ryan & Kristine, your day was absolutely dreamy with or without snow. Your love for each other, and the people in your life is so evident in all that you do. (And that they do for you) Here's to completing more dreams together!
