You guys. I’ve died and gone to the rooftop of The Drake Hotel Chicago heaven. I’ve shot at the Drake, but in my 16 year career it was never like this. We got the royal treatment. (Literally)

From getting ready for their engagement photos in the Princess Diana Suite. Where the furniture remains how it was when she’d stay there. We got escorted to the rooftop to stand beneath the iconic Drake Hotel sign that overlooks the city skyline and unobstructed views of the lake. We hit Michigan Avenue and had to keep the groom from jetting to his favorite stores. (:

We had the world-renowned Palm Court at the Drake Hotel to OURSELVES! Like it literally wasn't open to the public and they let us. They capped off the session with a change of clothes and quick smooch before hitting their dinner reservation. Oh...Did I say that they played in Princess Diana's bed? Like the bed that she slept on when staying at the hotel. As in the fact that the entire apartment is a time capsule to when she was there? Who in the world can say they not only stayed where Princess Diana stayed but kissed in her bed. These two get married at the Drake next winter and I can't wrap my head around how we're going to top this, but I assure you, we will. It will be EPIC!
