INDEPENDENCE GROVE LIBERTYVILLE WEDDING: MELISSA MARIE PHOTOGRAPHY: CARLOS + SU-MAI

I instantly connected with these two over being foodies & nature lovers, so it was no surprise to me that they chose one of my favorite venues that do both of those things so so well. Events at Independence grove has some of the best food around. Not only good for wedding food, but genuinely what the heck did they do to these potatos to make them so dang good? And I don't think I've had the same kind of potato from there twice. (I'm not even a big potatoes person) And don't even get me started on their flaming brulee'd donuts a la mode. Now donuts... The very much is my thing and dang is that dessert good! The panoramic views of the sprawling hills and lakes are just stunning in every season but especially on this early summer day. A slight breeze, the birds chirping (Carlos & Su-Mai are avid bird watchers), and the overcast day seemed to make the pops of color within the florals all the more apparent. Such a stunning wedding day! Congrats Carlos & Su-Mai! Here's to a lifetime of good food, even better memories, with the best people.
