It's fascinating to me what carries through a family's generations. The groom is an avid sailor. At the reception were countless banners of various wins his crew have captured over the years. Some of which on pretty notoriously unpredictable waters. His grandfather did the same which he logged detailing both the mundane and the adventure that life upon a boat brings. The bride's grandfather, who had passed away not too long ago was loyal to a particular brand of beer; Hamms. When Kendra walked in for her first date with Tom, guess what he was drinking? Hamms. He didn't know that about her grandfather. It was a meet-cute. The start of interweaving generations of loved ones and what things they've enjoyed that have continued on.

So we took engagement photos down at the harbor and Hamms was one of the specialty drinks offered at the wedding. (:
