CHICAGO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER: LIBERTYVILLE ENGAGEMENT SESSION: NICK + JENNA

A lot of thought goes into picking where you want your engagement photos to be. Whether it be a place that’s meaningful, like for these two, it’s their hometown where they’ve had quite literally a lifetime of memories, somewhere you’ve loved, maybe it just fits the vibe of who you are, or some combo of all of the above?  

I know much thought goes into picking where to do photos so I wanna give you a tip to think about while considering….Most indoor places (nearly all) you’ll need permission to photograph there. You can’t just pop in somewhere. Most interiors in cities will require a permit and most residential spots you’ll want the owner/manager’s permission. Thank you @otooleslville for saying “yes!”  I’ve found more success that you as a couple reach out to private businesses for permission. There’s something spammy when a photog reaches out “hey can we use your spot for pics?” Rather than…Hey, your venue, your restaurant, or your shop, we want it part of our story. 

So of course I’ll brainstorm all the ideas as to where but know it’s with intention and hopeful anticipation that I have you reach out to connect with a location.
