Running late? Don’t stress it. For one, I’ve built that into our timeframe. Oh shoot! Forgot the sippy... Maybe they’ll be cold? I’ll go grab a jacket.... And the inevitable, last diaper change of course as you’re trying to get everyone in the car. I get it! We’re livin that’s glamorous parent life too. 😉 But it’s also because I’m a parent, those pockets or people running late are these unexpected times for me to recharge without my own kids. Whether it be I get to sit in a quiet car without my toddler’s “please don’t fall asleep in the car!” music blaring. I get to those emails I’ve marked unread more than once. In today’s case, I got to finish my coffee (and it was still hot!) while watching the sunrise up over Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. It was glorious. And the icing on the donut was this family brought me donuts! It was the 20 minute vacation thatI got to take in my own town. The light shifted a bit in that time, and I love following where the sun directs us to be. So less skyline today than maybe we envisioned, but the sun kissed lake front photos are oh so dreamy! Almost as dreamy as that donut I got. (:
