To you, it might be bringing that Pinterest board you've been dreaming about to life. It might be finally having beautiful photos of the two of you. It might be something that those around you say you have to do and maybe you'll use one for a Save the Date?
It's about getting to know you.
It's the are you a morning person? A planner? Do you like movies or to cook? Because when your wedding day comes, I don't want to just take pretty pictures of you.
I absolutely loved getting to know these two. Hearing about their families, their traditions (we have many the same!), the things that they are alike on and the things that balance each other. We had to pivot the time that we started these engagement photos because rain was comin'. (And it did. Down to the exact minute it was predicted!) We knew it was a risk to still take them as planned but I said if I get even 10-15min of no rain I can get more than enough photos in that time. (Which is true.) But with each additional no rain minute together I got to know them more and more and now I feel like I genuinely know them, their heart and desires for not only the wedding day but the life they're building together.
It's worth it. Oh, and every wedding I do...It comes with one because they make a difference..
